As a Trex Production Manager, you will coordinate, direct, and oversee the activities of manufacturing employees in a 24/7 production environment. Serving as the primary contact for your crew, you will handle matters related to time and attendance, employee relations, scheduling, and the coordination of training and development. Additionally, you will be involved in both the recruitment and retention of new employees.

• Leadership
• Serve as Primary Management contact for all crews in your described scope
• Lead and develop 2-4 salaried shift supervisors and 2-6 floor-level hourly leads, while working to align all levels of crew leadership
• Participate in the hiring and training of the Trex workforce. Assess and identify training needs for process technicians to ensure an efficient production operation
• Participate in the assessment of crew leadership capabilities working with the Operations Manager and Human Resources to enhance the skill set of the leadership group
• Actively manage the seamless transition between production shifts
• Manage overtime needs seamlessly and productively while balancing employee preferences and business needs
• Plant Safety/Legal
• Develops, promotes, and maintains safety programs designed to assure safe working conditions and eliminate lost time due to accidents. Keeps safety awareness high and assures that all employees are aware that safety is the company's number one priority
• Monitors and ensures compliance with legal requirements in all areas such as personnel administration, product liability, and environmental protection
• Production
• Supervise the activities of manufacturing shift employees to ensure performance meets or exceeds the budgeted parameters in terms of volume/cost, material loss, cost of purchases, and distribution
• Control production costs consistent with the annual budgets, monitoring crew direct labor hours
• Administrative Acumen:
• Organizational skills to help maintain accurate timekeeping and absenteeism records
• Proven ability to create a standard process or procedure
• Ability to re-assign personnel based on business need
• Participate in the hiring process as a direct people leader

Manage and provide ongoing performance, coaching, and professional development opportunities for a team of Production Supervisors, Machine Operators, and Material Handlers.

EXPERIENCE
We are looking for leaders with 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment and 4+ years in a supervisory role with demonstrated leadership abilities in a self-directed team manufacturing environment. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
