About this role
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, light carpentry, and minor plumbing or electrical repairs.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment and systems (HVAC, lighting, appliances).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from staff and residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
• Monitor and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
• Assist with groundskeeping duties, including snow removal, lawn care, and exterior upkeep.
• Support compliance with OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Help with moving furniture, setting up rooms, and other facility-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Driver's license and your own transportation as you will be on call on a rotating schedule, may have to run labs to the hospital for processing
• Previous experience in maintenance, building repair, or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Knowledge of HIPPA laws and abide by them
Work Environment:
• Skilled Nursing Facility setting with interaction with residents, staff, and visitors.
• May require working in various conditions (indoors, outdoors, hot/cold environments).
• Occasional evening or weekend work for emergencies or special projects.
