Summary:
The Distribution Application Support (DASH) Associate is an entry level position to prepare a new member of the DASH team to provide an outstanding level of customer service through troubleshooting support and guidance to all Oncor distribution application users, including both employees and third-party users. The incumbent will report directly to the Distribution Support Supervisor within the Distribution Support Organization.
This role will assist distribution users by working with DASH Specialist and Lead answering questions about distribution processes and system workflows, and keeping users informed of any critical issues, workarounds, and system updates. This role offers flexibility in reporting location, provided it is a corporate office or distribution service center.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Assist team members provide user support and training for all Distribution Application users including end-user assistance with application functionality, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Training and documentation on application usage, best practices, and new features.
• Expand personal knowledge and expertise in about distribution applications, including Maximo, Work and Asset Management Transformation (WaAM), Advanced Enterprise Geographic Information System (AEGIS), Automated Utility Designer (AUD), Financial Information Management System (FIM), and Automated Construction Information System (ACIS).
• Expand personal knowledge and expertise in distribution workflow, including process flows, data flows, and system integrations.
• Assist other team members to develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and knowledge base articles.
• Assist answering questions about distribution applications, including WaAM, Maximo, AeGIS, AUD, and ACIS.
• Assist with testing and quality assurance of applications during sprint releases.
• Participate in ongoing development projects as needed.
• Participate with other technical and functional teams to support end user experience and ongoing application enhancements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Works under instruction of other DASH team members.
Skills:
• Proficient in existing Distribution Applications such as WaAM, AeGIS, AUD, and etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
• General aptitude for computers, ability to quickly master various software tools.
• Basic database knowledge, and or experience working with Structured Query Language (SQL) Developer is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Well-developed problem solving and solution development skills.
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• An Associates or Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, engineering, or another related field is encouraged to apply.
• 1-2 plus years of experience in electric utility, information systems, or engineering related experience is required.
