About this role
This position is located in Lancaster, OH but will need to travel to the Columbus office once a month.
Hours are Monday- Friday- 8 am- 4:30 pm
Essential Functions:
• Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
• Update and maintain client charts
• Provide diagnostic tests as directed and/or needed
• Establish and maintain an open line of communication with all therapists, program managers, and off campus programs
• Provides ongoing education for infectious disease, Hepatitis, vitals, and medications for employees
• Attend nursing meetings as scheduled
• Carry out orders as received from doctors and/or nurse practitioners
• Monitor height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse of clients and reports to doctors and/or nurse practitioners
• May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events, specific projects, or program changes
• Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging.
• Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
• Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.
For Outpatient Treatment staff nurse:
• Complete prior authorizations for medication and return phone calls to clients/families prior to end of shift
• Coordinate the medical portion of client care while receiving services at OhioGuidestone
• Complete nursing assessments for clients
• Assist with referrals for clients to see health care professionals
• Rotate shift or site as need based on staffing needs
• Provides ongoing education on mental health diagnosis and medications
Education & Experience:
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Valid State of Ohio Registered Nursing License required
• Experience and/or knowledge with mental health and substance abuse within children, adolescents and adult population preferred
• Outpatient office experience recommended

• Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records, etc.
• Must be able to access work locations, offices, and homes as necessary, which may include ascending/descending stairs.
• Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
• Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments, such as a physical examination and TB test.
