Position Summary:

This Corporate Reliability Engineer at Arclin will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the reliability and performance of our manufacturing processes and systems. This role involves analyzing data, identifying root causes of issues, and designing solutions to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and ensure consistent product quality. Additionally, as a corporate resource, will be responsible for governance of Corporate Reliability Programs such as Mechanical Integrity, Electrical Maintenance Strategy and Predictive Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety: Adheres to Arclin's safety culture

• Reliability Analysis: Conduct reliability assessments and failure analyses to identify weaknesses in systems and processes. Utilize reliability metrics to evaluate and improve system performance.

• Predictive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and govern predictive maintenance and condition-monitoring strategies for rotating and stationary equipment across the organization. For rotating equipment, apply technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, lubricant and wear-debris analysis, and other condition-monitoring methods to identify developing failure modes, optimize maintenance intervals, and prevent unplanned equipment downtime. For stationary equipment, establish inspection and condition-assessment strategies incorporating ultrasonic thickness trending, corrosion monitoring, corrosion-under-insulation detection, nondestructive examination interpretation, risk-based inspection, and Fitness-for-Service evaluations to support safe operation, remaining-life assessment, and repair, rerating, replacement, or continued-service decisions.

• Root Cause Analysis: Perform detailed analyses of equipment failures and process breakdowns using methodologies such as FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and RCA (Root Cause Analysis).

• Maintenance Strategy Development: Develop and optimize maintenance strategies including preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance programs. Work with maintenance teams to ensure these strategies are effectively executed.

• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and process efficiency. Implement best practices, new technologies, and innovative solutions to achieve reliability goals.

• Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance. Prepare detailed reports and scorecards to communicate findings to stakeholders.

• Collaboration: Work closely with and influence cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and maintenance to address reliability issues, share knowledge, and implement solutions

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, reliability studies, and improvement initiatives. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

• Training and Support: Provide training and support to maintenance and operations staff on reliability practices, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques

• CMMS: Drive the utilization of Arclin's CMMS to ensure the sustainability of the maintenance processes

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering (ABET accredited). Advanced degrees or certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) are a plus.

• Experience: 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or a related field in a manufacturing environment

• Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in failure analysis and reliability assessments

• Proficiency in reliability engineering tools and methodologies

• Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and techniques

• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences and demonstrated ability to influence at all levels

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices

• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in manufacturing environments

Effort:

• Ability to travel as needed for audits, RE analysis and requested technical service support for all Arclin facilities; up to 40% travel

• Self-motivated and self-directed

• Interface with plant and corporate management

• Ability to adjust to changing demands and requirement

• Persistence in maintaining engineering principles and code requirements

• Computer operations for extended periods

• Take part/lead meetings

• Communicate with contractors and vendors

• Time and effort required to meet specified deadlines
