Role Summary

The Lead Quality Specialist supports the implementation and day-to-day execution of quality assurance and quality control processes across company operations and projects. Reporting to the QA Manager, this role assists with inspections, audits, documentation, issue tracking, and compliance monitoring to help ensure work is completed in accordance with company requirements, client expectations, applicable codes, and project specifications. The Lead Quality Specialist works closely with project teams and operational staff to promote consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance and quality control processes, procedures, and documentation.

• Assist with inspections, audits, site reviews, and verification activities to confirm compliance with project and company requirements.

• Review and maintain quality records, reports, checklists, and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.

• Track deficiencies, non-conformances, and corrective actions, and follow up with project teams to support timely resolution.

• Assist in monitoring compliance with client specifications, internal standards, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements.

• Provide support to project teams in the preparation and execution of quality plans, inspection activities, and turnover requirements.

• Gather, analyze, and communicate quality-related information to the QA Manager and project stakeholders.

• Participate in training, toolbox talks, and awareness activities that promote quality expectations and continuous improvement.

• Work collaboratively with field staff, supervisors, subcontractors, and support teams on quality-related matters.

• Maintain a professional and proactive approach in supporting quality objectives across office and field environments.

Must-haves:

• Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, quality, or a related field, or 5+ years of journeyperson practical experience.

• Typically, 2 to 5 years of related experience in quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or 5 + years of journeyperson construction experience.

• Working knowledge of construction processes (including mechanical piping knowledge), inspections, documentation, and quality requirements.

• Experience in large-scale mechanical projects including Healthcare Facilities, Government Facilities, and/or High-rise Buildings.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in both office and field settings.

This is a new position, and the salary range is between $95,000 - $115,000
