About this role
As a Nutrition Services Buyer, you will:
• Purchase food and non-food supplies for patient dining, Robin's Cove, and catering events.
• Review upcoming menus and forecast inventory needs.
• Place orders with multiple vendors using electronic ordering systems.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and purchasing records.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing contracts and department guidelines.
• Receive, inspect, and properly store deliveries.
• Process vendor invoices and returns in a timely manner.
• Follow food safety, infection prevention, and HACCP standards.
• Work closely with culinary and nutrition services leadership to support daily operations.
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of food service experience with knowledge of food products and packaging.
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and inventory/order entry software.
• Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate records.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using automated purchasing and inventory systems.
• ServSafe Certification.

Physical Requirements
This position requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and working in a fast-paced food service environment. Candidates should be able to safely handle food products and supplies while following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
