About this role

Position Overview:

The Account Coordinator position drives shareholder value by providing timely and accurate inside sales support, customer service and order entry for high quality products that meet our specifications and consumer expectations.

Incumbents in this position will begin to adjust responsibilities in line with building long-term relationships with assigned accounts, understanding their needs and anticipating future requirements while also coordinating sales support processes as needed for large national retailers or food service partners. Additionally, this position proactively implements processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our order entry and sales order fulfillment while delivering excellent customer service.

Major Responsibilities

• Works closely with Account Manager(s) to help create, implement and execute sales programmes, discounts, features, etc. that meet customer requirements

• Resolve customer issues while also identifying upsell opportunities and recommending solutions that contribute towards established sales goals

• Analyze customer data and account history to identify strategic recommendations and forward planning

• Where appropriate, works with Account Manager to create retail ad planners

• Expected to collaborate with Sales in a more involved way to facility develop and training

• Processes orders through email and EDI, checks pricing, product number, inventory on hand for accuracy and completeness

• Calls customers, takes orders over the phone, and completes sales order form

• Calls customers for receivable collections and ensures accounts are current

• Enters and allocates orders in inventory management system (Great Plains Dynamics)

• Monitors orders and troubleshoots for any issues with inventory, fulfillment, or logistics

• Enters and prints picking ticket

• Provides sales staff with reports (stock status, sales reports, accounts receivable listings)

• Answers incoming calls and questions from customers

• Assists in inventory reconciliations

• Maintains relationships with internal staff, external customers and third party warehouse employees

• Builds sustainable customer relationships of trust through open and interactive communication

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

Qualifications & Considerations for the Position

• 5 years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., a bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for 4 years of experience).

• Professional telephone etiquette, calm demeanor, good oral and written communication skills; able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders

• Strong data/order entry, keyboarding 55 wpm

• Fluent in English

• Organized self-starter with proven ability to co-ordinate and effectively follow up on multiple projects and assignments and meet all deadlines

• Excellent ability to plan, organize and prioritize with attention to detail and accuracy

• Proven ability to remain calm and work under pressure, resolve problems, and keep others informed of status updates

• Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders to upsell orders and resolve issues with key customers

• Demonstrated ability to handle high work volumes and multiple priorities with consistent high quality and adherence to strict deadlines

• Proficient in computer software, such as inventory / traceability software, manufacturing software (GP Dynamics) and Microsoft Office (Excel)

• Team player with high integrity, values and a positive attitude

Pay: $28.84 - $31.25 per hour, depending on experience
