General Summary
This position is with J&J's Engineering Solutions (“ENGS”), a Strategic Business Unit (“SBU”). ENGS's core business is providing design-build services for the U.S. Government, primarily fulfilling needs for the Department of Defense (“DoD”), as a prime contractor, contracted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (“USACE”), Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (“NAVFAC”) and other Government Agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Data Collection and Integration:
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources (e.g., ERP systems, project management tools, schedules).
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing data quality checks.
• Data Analysis:
• Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in construction-related data.
• Create predictive and prescriptive models to anticipate project challenges and provide solutions.
• Reporting and Visualization:
• Design and develop interactive and informative dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
• Utilize tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar software to create visual representations of data.
• Utilize SQL queries to generate reports from SQL Server Management Studio.
• Business Insights:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide insights that guide decision-making.
• Support management in making informed strategic decisions based on data analysis.
• Data Governance and Security:
• Implement and maintain data governance practices to ensure data privacy and compliance.
• Secure data access and provide role-based permissions for data users.
• Primavera P6 and EPPM Expertise:
• Demonstrate intermediate experience in administering the back end of Primavera P6 scheduling and their EPPM platform.
• Ensure the seamless integration of Primavera P6 data into the broader business intelligence environment.
• Procore Database Understanding:
• Possess an advanced understanding of the database side of Procore, allowing for efficient data extraction and utilization.
• Accounting ERP System (JAMIS):
• Utilize JAMIS to build dashboards that integrate financial and project data for holistic insights.
• Collaborate with Finance team to build custom dashboards/reports to aid in financial reporting.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
• Demonstrated ability to:
• Proven experience in data analysis, data modeling, and business intelligence, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems commonly used in construction (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Software proficiency:
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar software.
• Strong programming skills, including proficiency in SQL, Python, and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas).
• Experience administering enterprise scheduling systems, preferably Primavera P6 EPPM.
• Expert knowledge of Excel, including proficiency in Power Pivot and Power Query for advanced data modeling and analysis.
• Experience working in a Government ERP system, preferably JAMIS.
Work Experience
• 5 years experience related to the role and financial systems.
Education, Licenses and Certification Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
