• Location: Anacortes, WA / Onsite

• Schedule: Full Time (FTE) / Variable

• Salary Range: $37.49 – $56.23 per hour

With oversight from the Director, Laboratory Services, the Supervisor will direct the administrative and technical operations of the respective laboratory sections at Island Hospital Laboratory. Assures the clinical laboratory service is capable of meeting client, regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements. Participates in the development of projects and planning. Responsible for the overall functions of Island Hospital Point of Care Testing program. Coordinates the day to day function of the Laboratory with other Leads and staff. Performs as Laboratory Director in absence of same.

• Provide patient care and performs tasks using job skills and growth and develop knowledge specific to the patients age and/or developmental level.

• While performing job tasks, demonstrates awareness of cultural and spiritual practices of the customer(s).

• Assesses physical needs and functional status of the patient in order to provide patient care.

• Must have demonstrated ability to interact positively with Administration, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, peers, co-workers, subordinates, patients and visitors.

• Must meet regular attendance standard and must stay at or below average sick leave utilization levels.

What you will bring to the role:

• Previous supervisory experience in Laboratory as complex as Island Hospital Laboratory. Working knowledge of Meditech Magic experience, interface management, Lean process management and quality improvement preferred.

• 5 years' experience as a Medical Technologist and demonstrating skills or attributes of a leader. Preferably with 1 year management experience.

• Qualify Under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) as Technical Supervisor.

• MT (ASCP) or equivalent.

• Certifications: Basic Life Support and Washington MA-phlebotomy. Must apply within 30days of hire.
