About this role
Primary function of the server position is to accurately and efficiently take food and beverage orders and delivers these items in a timely manner. Food and wine knowledge is extremely important.
• Greet and communicate with the guests in a friendly, courteous manner and offer a beverage within a two minute time frame; • Explain any special offerings from the chef, menu additions or deletions; • Accurately operate the POS system; • Practice proper table maintenance, removing used plates and utensils, keeping table free of debris; • Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the dining room; • Accurately close out the check with the bartender; • Opening and side work is required; • Preparation is a key ingredient in being able to deliver quality service; • Other reasonable duties as assigned.
