Process Technician
Basic Scope/Purpose: (The job’s primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization.)
Set-up and operate injection molding machines. Process and control of materials. Learn and teach good shop techniques and refine managerial skills.

• Work with Engineering to write new part condition sheets, help plan new processes. • Perform and oversee quality control checks to include the use of computers, precision measuring equipment as well as visual inspection of parts. • Clean, Changeover / set-up molding tools, make adjustments to injection molding machines and other related equipment. • Operate Machinery. • Check and maintain critical molding parameters. • Perform the soaking operation of molded products. • Use hydraulic and air pressure equipment. • Read part drawings. • Labeling and packaging product. • Material handing duties (grinding, house cleaning, rework, labeling etc.) • Teach the trade to both training and lower level technicians. • Help plan molding schedules (plan alternate routings when needed). • Oversee and maintain accurate records (inspection results, inventory movement & transfer, etc.) • Accurately receive and transfer product using the computer system. • Assist in maintaining molding department equipment. • Initiate process improvements and facilitate department improvement meetings. • Contribute to our quality system through continuous improvement and with involvement in other waste eliminating activities. • Related duties as assigned. • Maintain and promote Fenner Precision Polymers’ values and behaviors at all times.

• 5 Years Experience as Molding Technician or equivalent • High School diploma, GED , or equivalent • Experience with JD Edwards preferred
