Superior Completions is currently seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe Machinist 1 for our office in Houston, TX.
As a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe Machinist 1, you'll be at the heart of precision manufacturing - setting up, programming, and operating state-of-the-art CNC lathe machines to bring innovative tool designs to life. Your expertise ensures accuracy, efficiency, and the highest quality in every component produced.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Reads blueprints and sets up the CNC Lathe to machine parts per specifications.
• Edits the G-Code program to machine parts of varying sizes.
• Capable of running 2 CNC machines.
• Set up parts on the CNC machine, including installing jaws, bore jaws, tool offsets, and 1st part prove out.
• Lifts raw material and attaches it appropriately to the Lathe for
• Operates the CNC lathe machine to turn raw materials into finished parts.
• Follows safety precautions and safety guidelines.
• Operates cranes and overhead cranes as needed.
• Inspects machined components and records

Education
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of one to three years work-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CNC milling experience desired.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Proficient in communicating with colleagues and in creating a team working environment.
• Current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Includes both regulatory and SES required courses).
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations.
• Ethical business practices.
• Applicable PPE required to complete assigned tasks.
• Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Understanding written statements in work-related documents.
• Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions.
