About The Role
The Treasury & ALM & Balance Sheet Strategy Manager is a key finance leader responsible for overseeing the credit union's treasury function while providing enterprise-wide financial analysis and strategic insight. This role leads balance sheet strategy, liquidity management, and asset-liability oversight, while delivering advanced modeling and analytics to support executive decision-making. As a people leader and strategic advisor, this role partners closely with the CFO and executive team to evaluate business decisions, optimize financial performance, and guide the organization through changing economic and market conditions in a $2.5B–$3B credit union environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Treasury, Liquidity & Balance Sheet Management:
• Lead all treasury functions, including liquidity management, funding strategy, and cash flow forecasting
• Develop and manage cash flow systems to meet operational and member liquidity needs
• Maintain and optimize lines of credit and external funding relationships
• Oversee the investment portfolio in alignment with policy and strategic goals
• Ensure appropriate liquidity under both normal and stressed conditions.
Asset Liability Management (ALM) & Financial Risk
• Serve as a key member of ALCO and related pricing committees
• Lead interest rate risk analysis, balance sheet positioning, and optimization
• Present monthly/quarterly ALM analysis and strategic recommendations
• Monitor financial risks and align strategies to economic and market conditions
Financial Modeling, Analytics & Strategic Insight
• Develop and maintain advanced financial models and forecasts
• Perform scenario analysis and stress testing across liquidity, credit, and rate environments
• Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for leadership
• Provide ad hoc and enterprise-wide financial analysis to support strategic decisions
Strategic Advisory & Enterprise Decision Support
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive team
• Recommend cost optimization, revenue opportunities, and growth strategies
• Evaluate investment opportunities and business initiatives
• Support organizational planning, budgeting, and long-term financial strategy
Profitability, Product & Pricing Strategy
• Lead analysis of organizational, product, and member profitability
• Oversee systems that track profitability and financial performance
• Provide insights into pricing effectiveness, margins, and performance drivers
• Support development of products and services aligned to financial goals
• Recommend adjustments to deposit rates, fees, and pricing strategies
Banking Products & Financial Expertise
• Maintain strong knowledge of lending, deposit, and investment products
• Support product strategy with financial guidance balancing profitability, liquidity, and risk
• Collaborate with lending, commercial, and deposit teams on reporting and strategy
Reporting, Budgeting & Financial Planning
• Participate in annual balance sheet and financial budgeting processes
• Provide forecasts for deposit growth, member behavior, and key metrics
• Deliver regular financial reports and executive-level insights
• Track performance against strategic and financial goals
Vendor Management & Operational Oversight
• Manage treasury-related vendors, including due diligence, contracts, and performance reviews
• Optimize vendor pricing and services; oversee RFP/RFI processes
• Ensure operational efficiency and alignment with organizational goals
Regulatory, Compliance & Governance
• Serve as liaison with regulators as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Support audits, reporting requirements, and financial governance standards
• Provide leadership that inspires accountability, engagement, and performance
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing treasury and analytics team
• Collaborate with business intelligence and cross-functional teams as a data steward
• Foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and data-driven decision-making
REQUIREMENTS
• 7+ years of progressive experience in treasury, finance, or a related financial function. Highly preferred to have a demonstrated impact through Asset Liability and liquidity management in complex or varied economic environments.
• 4+ years' experience in people leadership including cross‑functional teams, coaching/mentoring talent, and building high‑performing, future‑ready individuals is highly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience leading analysis of future investment opportunities and advising senior leadership on treasury investment strategy is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience developing and evolving treasury products, services, or capabilities.
• Demonstrated strong quantitative analytical, organizational and project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including MS Office suite with demonstrated advanced skills in Excel.

COMPENSATION
• $170,000.00 - $190,000.00/ year
• Eligible to earn Back Office Incentive
