About this role

RapidRatings is looking for a Business Development Specialist to join our go-to-market team. This is not a traditional BDR role in the conventional sense of one and done cold calls or relying on high-volume, generic outreach in hopes of a response. It's a strategic, relationship-driven function built for someone who wants to master the craft of business development, partner closely with Account Executives and Account Managers, and play a real role in both new business and account expansion.

You'll work targeted, persona-based outreach using AI and other tools to help you work effectively and successfully. You'll be a true partner to AEs and AMs, sometimes reaching out directly to existing clients to support expansion conversations. What You'll Do

• Strategic account planning, research and outreach to potential clients, working to be the leading source of new revenue

• Run multi-touch outreach across email (both targeted and automated), phone calls, and LinkedIn Messaging, with an emphasis on strategic, personalized messaging

• Prioritize and task manage follow ups to prospective and previous clients, fostering relationships and keeping momentum until an opportunity is created

• Partner directly with Account Executives on new business pursuits and with Account Managers on account expansion and client outreach

• Use CRM, sales engagement tools, and AI (Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Microsoft Copilot and others) to manage pipeline, track activity, conduct research and outreach and stay organized

• Bring creativity to outreach and messaging; think beyond the standard script

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a BDR/SDR role is a plus, not a requirement.

• Hands-on experience with CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, Hubspot, Sales Navigator, or similar) is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication. You write eloquent, professional emails and hold your own on the phone

• Strong time management and organizational skills. You can run a large volume of outreach and personalized messaging without letting things fall through the cracks

• A go-getter mentality: confident, resourceful, and comfortable stepping outside a standard playbook

• Proactive and forward-thinking, someone who naturally anticipates what's needed next to succeed rather than waiting to be asked

• Persistent but patient. This market rewards consistent follow-up over time, so you have strong work ethic and drive to hit your goals

• Strong prioritization instincts: able to work multiple avenues without losing track of everything else on your plate

Salesforce (SFDC), Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI-assisted writing tools for personalized outreach, and other sales enablement tools as needed.

Salary: $65,000 Base

Commission Structure:

• Yearly Target: 60

• Payout: $350

Outbound Opps Created

• Yearly Target: 24

• Payout: $600

Monthly Add Ons

• Inbound Sourced Meeting Held

• Payout: $100

5 Outbound Meetings Held

• Payout: $1,000

Quarterly Kickers

• 20 Outbound Meetings Held in a Qtr

• Payout: $2,500

9 Outbound Opps Created in a Qtr

• Payout: $3,000
