Job Functions:
• Drive trucks between job sites, vendors and Prairie Mechanical headquarters to make deliveries
• Maintain communication with supervisor and field contacts to safely and efficiently make deliveries
• Load and unload trucks/trailers
• Assist with building and shop upkeep (to include sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, organizing equipment/parts/tools, etc.)
• Drive and operate fork lift
• Help field manpower with checkout of power tools, safety/personal protection equipment
• Assist with inspection of equipment and tools, dispose of unsafe or worn equipment/tools, notify Logistics Supervisor to replenish equipment/tools as necessary
Physical Demands:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit: reach with hands and arms: climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Preferred Certificates/Licenses:
• OSHA 10 or 30 preferred, not required
• Forklift Certification preferred, not required
