About this role
You will join a multidisciplinary team developing software for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The project focuses on ensuring robust communication between embedded systems, backend services, and user interfaces.
As a Test & Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing verification and validation activities for our fast-charging systems, ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of electrical, thermal, software, and system-level functionalities.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and execute test cases for high-power EV charging systems, including integration, electrical, thermal, and software testing.
• Perform component-level and system-level validation to ensure product reliability and performance.
• Monitor, analyze, and document test results, identifying issues and supporting root-cause investigations.
• Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of the testing strategy and validation processes.
• Develop and maintain dedicated test setups, test benches, and automated testing solutions.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and system engineering teams to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in testing and validation of embedded systems, charging infrastructure, power electronics, or automotive systems.
• Strong understanding of system integration, verification, and validation methodologies.
• Experience with electrical, thermal, hardware-software integration, or system-level testing.
• Familiarity with test automation, test bench development, and defect tracking processes is considered an advantage.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, proactively, and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systems-thinking approach.
• Fluent English is required; German and/or Italian language skills are considered an advantage.
Project Details:
• Fixed-term employment contract for an initial period of 9 months.
• Possibility of extension based on project requirements and business needs.
• Availability to spend 2–3 weeks/month on-site in Bolzano, Italy.
