About this role

JOB DESCRIPTION: The ASAM RN is responsible for ensuring the well-being of persons served/clients as they go through the rehabilitation process.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicates with individuals with substance use disorder in need of treatment services.

• Conducts ASAM assessments via phone.

• Contact providers to provide a report on clients, including ASAM score, to get an approval for services.

• Performs in-depth charting for insurance billing (WV and OH).

• Communicates with local hospitals and rehabilitation facilities on referrals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have an Associates or Bachelor's Degree from approved Nursing school.

• Active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, or Multi-state license.

• Substance abuse or psychiatric experience preferred.

• Must complete ASAM online course upon hire.

COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.

• Have the ability to communicate with other staff and assist in ensuring the safety of the client.

• Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which is related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.

• Attention to detail and organization a must.

• Computer literate with experience in a Windows environment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to prioritize work and work-related responsibilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
