Job Title: Room Checker
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Room Checker is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort.
This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional guest experience by conducting detailed inspections, identifying improvement opportunities, and working closely with the housekeeping team to maintain consistent quality.
JOB OVERVIEW/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation meet company standards
• Check linens, amenities, and room setup for accuracy and flawless appearance
• Identify and report maintenance or housekeeping issues promptly
• Pay close attention to details, including hard-to-see or easily overlooked areas
• Propose improvements to room presentation and overall guest experience
• Collaborate closely with the housekeeping team to maintain consistent quality
• Ensure every guest enters a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment
Training and support will be provided to help you succeed in the role.
REQUIREMENTS
【Must】
• Experience
• Experience in housekeeping, hotel operations, cleaning services, or a related field or willingness to learn and perform room inspection duties with responsibility
• Education and Qualification
• Valid working visa in Japan
• Skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to notice inconsistencies
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
• Basic communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team members
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks reliably
• Language Skills
• Conversational level or above in English
• Competencies
• High level of professionalism and sense of responsibility
• Respect for guest privacy and confidentiality
• Ability to work cooperatively with housekeeping and other departments
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays based on operational needs
• Friendly, polite, and professional attitude toward guests and colleagues

• Experience
• Experience in room inspection, quality control, or supervisory roles
• Experience in resort hotels or accommodation facilities
• Education and Qualification
• Training or certification related to hospitality or housekeeping
• Valid Driver’s License (Japanese, international, or foreign driver’s license with an official Japanese Translation)
• Skills
• Familiarity with housekeeping checklists or inspection standards
• Language Skills
• Conversational level or above in Japanese
Employment Terms and Condition
Contract Period & Renewal
• Contract Period: 11/16/2026 - 3/30/2027
• Contract renewal: Applicable
• Reason of Renewal:
• Employee’s work performance and attitude.
• Company’s business demands.
Duty, Work Location & Scope of Changes
• Duty: may be changed as determined by the company
• Initial Work Location: one of the company’s properties in Rusutsu or Furano, Hokkaido
• Scope of changes: company properties in Niseko Area, Rusutsu or Furano.
• Training may be conducted at other location.
• Employees may be required to work at different properties based on operational needs.
• The initial assignment will be determined by the company.
Commuting & Workplace policy
• Private Vehicle Commuting: Not permitted
• Measures to prevent passive smoking: indoor smoking prohibited
Working hours, Days off & Overtime
• Working hours / Shift schedule: Up to 8 hours between 06:00 to 22:00
• Days off: two days off per week (based on shift schedule)
• Overtime: Yes
• Monthly Average Overtime Hours: 10 hours per month
• 36-Article Agreement (overtime): Applicable (Due to seasonal factors and a high concentration of orders from general customers, periods of increased workload are expected)
Salary Package / Benefit
• Salary: 1,500 yen / per hour
