Job Summary
Regents' Glen Country Club is seeking a Line Cook to join our culinary team at The Fairway Table, our family-friendly restaurant serving members and guests both indoors and poolside. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality menu items efficiently and consistently during service, working alongside the kitchen team to keep operations running smoothly during evenings, weekends, and Club events.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook menu items to Club standards, following recipes and portion guidelines
• Set up and stock assigned station(s) with all necessary supplies before service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station throughout each shift
• Work efficiently under pressure during peak service times, including evenings, weekends, and special events
• Communicate clearly with other line cooks, kitchen staff, and FOH team to ensure smooth ticket flow
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency before dishes leave the kitchen
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
• Assist with inventory, stocking, and basic prep work as needed
• Help train and support new kitchen staff as needed
Qualifications
• Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality and consistency
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Availability to work evenings and weekends, including holidays and special events
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices; food handler certification a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen equipment and supplies as needed
