Job Description: As an Operations Team Member in the Wegmans Event Services area, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down events and meetings held at various Wegmans locations and off-site facilities. You will drive company vans and/or trucks to pick-up and deliver items needed to execute events and actively seek out tasks to assist the operations teams to ensure events are setup and prepped for success!
What will I do?
• Provide incredible customer service to both the teams you support and our customers • Execute both standard and customized floorplans for both on and off-site events • Transform event spaces by setting up and breaking down tents and tables/chairs, decorating tabletops, cleaning the interior and exterior space, hanging pip and drape and backdrops, and moving/loading/delivering kitchen and general equipment needed for execution of menus • Use knowledge of standard equipment (plumping, power panels, electrical needs, generators) to ensure setups are safe for both employees and guests • Perform upkeep, cleaning, and general maintenance of buildings, equipment, supplies, grounds, and fleet of trucks; recognize for complex problems and contact correct resources to issues or perform repairs • Assist with specialists with ad hoc requests and tasks as needed
Required Qualifications:
• Customer service experience • Demonstrated experience with independently tracking and managing multiple priorities and tasks • Computer skills; experience with and skills in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified in CPR and AED
