Pay & Schedule
• Starting Pay: $35.00 - $35.50 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start Time: Between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
• Overtime opportunities available
• Occasional Saturday work as business needs require
• Local routes with daily return to the yard
Position Responsibilities As a Class B CDL Hook Truck Driver, you will:
• Safely operate a Class B CDL hook-lift truck on assigned local routes throughout the Fife and greater Tacoma area.
• Deliver, exchange, and retrieve hook-lift containers at customer locations and disposal facilities.
• Load and unload containers using the truck's hook-lift system.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Secure containers and loads while following all company safety requirements.
• Utilize tablet-based technology to manage route information, electronic logs, and required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members.
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Operate equipment safely while utilizing onboard safety technology and monitoring systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.
• Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles, including 10-speed, 13-speed, or 18-speed transmissions.
• Hook-lift, roll-off, or container delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for safety and operational purposes.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment The successful candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
• Frequent climbing in and out of the truck cab.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Exposure to vibration, noise, dust, fumes, and moving mechanical equipment.
• Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and performing physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Following all company safety procedures and policies.
