Job Description:
Summary: The Oracle Fusion Software Engineer II is responsible for supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Oracle Fusion extensions, VBS/VBCS applications, and reporting solutions. This role focuses on hands-on delivery of user-facing Oracle applications, low-code development, reporting, and data visibility capabilities within the Oracle Fusion ecosystem.
The ideal candidate has foundational Oracle Fusion technical knowledge, experience with VBS and VBCS, and a strong willingness to grow across Oracle reporting, integrations, and Redwood modernization.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and support Oracle Visual Builder Studio and Visual Builder Cloud Service applications.
• Create and maintain Oracle Fusion reports using BI Publisher and OTBI.
• Support Fusion technical development across Finance, SCM, and related Oracle Cloud modules.
• Assist with FBDI, ESS, BICC, and reporting-related development activities.
• Develop and consume REST APIs as needed for VBS, VBCS, and reporting solutions.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries supporting reports, dashboards, and application extensions.
• Support Redwood-aligned user experience enhancements as directed by senior engineers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, design discussions, and backlog refinement.
• Test, troubleshoot, and resolve application and reporting defects.
• Collaborate with functional analysts, product owners, and senior engineers to clarify requirements.
• Document development work, test results, and support procedures.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of application development, Oracle development, reporting, or related software engineering experience.
• Beginner-to-knowledgeable understanding of Oracle Fusion technical concepts.
• Knowledgeable experience with VBS and VBCS.
• Beginner-level experience with Oracle Finance and Supply Chain Management technical functionality.
• Beginner-level experience with FBDI, ESS, OTBI, BI Publisher, FDI, and BICC.
• Knowledgeable experience with Oracle Integration Cloud.
• Experience with SQL, JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON, HTML, or CSS.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn Oracle Cloud technologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile delivery environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
