SWBC is seeking a talented individual to coordinate with both internal and external partners assisting in the closing process for mortgage loans across a variety of loan products offered by the Company. This role is responsible for the tracking, receiving and warehousing of collateral.

Essential duties include the following:
• Collateral specialists will be responsible for sorting through the incoming funding packages, pulling the necessary documents, obtaining signatures for allonges, and sending the necessary documents to the custodian or applicable investor. • Responsibility also included the scanning of critical documents, upload of the documents into the system of record, and the recording of the shipping actions taken into the system of record. • Collateral specialist will review and take the proper action on various reports including but not limited to: • “Ready for Custodian Report” – Each warehouse is listed with the notes that need to be instructed to go to the proper document custodian. • “Wet Loan Report” – Lists the funded loans with yet to be received or missing funding packages. • “Collateral AOT/Best Efforts Report” – Lists loans that must be instructed to outside investor. • “Not Certified Report” – List shipped loans that have not been certified and/or received at the document custodian. These “WET” loans must be cleared in order to prevent the curtailment of warehouse funds. • Custodial Exception Reports – Daily exception reports, provided by the document custodian, must be reviewed and exceptions cleared.
• Collateral specialist will have daily electronic and phone interactions with internal suspense coordinators, warehouse lenders, document custodians, title companies, etc. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or previous mortgage experience preferred. • Minimum of six (6) months prior experience working in corporate environment preferred. • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills. • Excellent organizational skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management. • Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax. • Able to type 40 WPM. • Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane. • Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities. • Able to stand and stoop to file for long periods of time. • Able to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
