About this role
[What the role is] This role will be responsible for developing and enhancing automation and data analytics solutions to improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making within OCC Operations team. [What you will be working on]
• Enhance the existing automation framework for data cleaning and computation tasks
• Identify gaps in the current automation solution and develop additional functionalities to meet evolving operational requirements
• Work closely with team members to understand the data management workflow and ensure automation solutions are aligned with business needs
• Perform data validation and ensure quality assurance of outputs from automated processes
• Provide support to OCC Operations in data analytics initiatives, including but not limited to the participation in Concept of Operations (ConOps) discussions & presentations
• Support ad-hoc tasks related to process improvement and data handling as assigned by the division
[What we are looking for]
• Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong proficiency in Excel VBA with hands-on experience in developing automation scripts for data workflows
• Good understanding of data cleaning and validation principles
• Good foundation of dashboard creation and the use of data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to understand and translate operational needs into technical solutions
• Prior experience working within a similar operational data environment, or a Command Center, is a plus
