Job Description: The Supply Chain Analyst provides analysis and business system support to the Supply Chain Management Team. Identifies, designs and implements system improvements and changes.
What you’ll do:
• Analyze supply chain data related to demand, inventory, procurement, production, logistics, and distribution to identify trends, gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities. • Support demand and supply planning by reviewing customer demand, sales trends, stock levels, lead times, and production requirements. • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimum stock availability while minimizing excess, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory. • Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and analysis on supply chain performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, inventory days, service levels, fill rate, lead time, stock-outs, and excess stock. • Coordinate with procurement, production, warehouse, logistics, sales, finance, and customer service teams to ensure timely availability of materials and finished goods. • Identify root causes for supply gaps, delivery delays, inventory variances, or planning deviations and recommend corrective actions. • Support Sales and Operations Planning activities by consolidating data, validating assumptions, and providing analytical inputs for decision-making. • Track supplier, vendor, and logistics performance and highlight deviations affecting cost, quality, delivery, or service levels. • Maintain accuracy of planning and master data in ERP or supply chain systems, including item codes, lead times, safety stock, reorder levels, and planning parameters. • Assist in cost optimization and process improvement initiatives across supply chain operations through data analysis and continuous improvement methods. • Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations for management review, business planning, and operational meetings. • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable supply chain processes • Must have skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. What you need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related discipline. • Postgraduate qualification or certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Analytics, or Operations Management will be an added advantage. • 2–5 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory management, logistics, procurement analytics, or operations analytics. • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, dairy, food processing, or consumer goods industry will be preferred • Communication skills - written and verbal • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, reporting, and dashboard preparation. • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar planning systems. • Ability to interpret large data sets and convert analysis into meaningful business insights. • Good understanding of demand planning, inventory management, procurement, logistics, production planning, and supply chain KPIs. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across functions. • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage timelines in a fast-paced environment. • Continuous improvement mindset with focus on accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence.
