About this role

The University Advancement Office (UAO) supports NTU’s giving mission by fostering meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships with philanthropists, alumni, business community partners, corporations that result in goodwill and philanthropy towards education and research.

Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director, Gift Stewardship and Reporting, the Assistant Manager, Gift Stewardship and Reporting’s role is responsible for the stewardship of donors, primarily in ensuring accurate and impactful reporting and driving targeted campaigns aimed at various donor segments. This role involves preparing detailed impact reports, working closely with other departments to enhance donor relationships and communication, and supporting donor engagement programs and activities.

Key responsibilities include

• Monitoring of Donor Fund Utilisation: Work with Faculties to ensure the allocation and administration of donor funds are used according to donor intentions and organizational priorities. Monitor the effectiveness of fund utilization and provide transparent reporting on fund impacts. Develop, implement and improve upon processes to aid the accurate monitoring of these funds.

• Impact Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed impact reports, track donor data, and ensure accurate reporting of donor activities. Ensure reports accurately reflect the outcomes and achievements resulting from their contributions and maintain high standards of reporting accuracy and integrity.

• Data Management and Analysis: Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of donor records within the CRM system. Track and analyse donor engagement data to inform strategic decisions and maintain compliance with reporting standards.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.

• Understanding of philanthropy as it relates to higher education.

• Knowledge of good donor relationship management.

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience preferably in higher education, philanthropic organisations, or a comparably complex organization.

• Demonstrated success in achieving strategic outcomes in a large and complex environment.

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences with gravitas.

• Proficiency in numerical analysis to derive insights that can improve strategies, policies and processes is essential.

• Excellent ability to innovate and deal with ambiguity and organisational sensitivity with tact and diplomacy; to be opportunistic, responsive, resourceful, and resilient.

• Demonstrate a clear understanding and awareness of ethical considerations pertaining to advancement work, as well as an understanding and appreciation of cultural and intercultural sensitivities.
