Role Private Equity Fund Administration (PEFA) provides third-party clients with comprehensive administration, financial accounting, and investor reporting services for their funds. The job involves tracking of Private Equity funds partner’s capital account statement and reconciling it with the accounting system, reconciliation of Bank statement and capital activities recorded for the individual investor. Perform the review activities of private equity deliverables prepared by team members. Core competencies and skills required · Strong understanding of the Private Equity fund structure and the role of General partners and Limited partners. Sound knowledge on the Investran accounting platform and understand the various functions within the tool. · Good Accounting and financial reporting knowledge is must · Demonstrate through examples /evidence strong operations knowledge including secondary review & controls, risks & mitigation · Excellent spoken and written English, and the ability to write business correspondence. · Ability to independently address technical & non-technical issues, conduct knowledge share / training sessions, proactively troubleshoot and manage escalations, and work with global teams · Good analytical, numerical and reasoning skills. · Ability to handle multiple tasks under extremely time sensitive conditions. · Be technically competent to act as first point of reference for day-to-day queries while performing review/verification/accounting/audit processes (daily and periodic) accurately. Major duties and key responsibilities · To have a thorough understanding of the theoretical and technical nature of fund accounting and administration · Performing quality assurance checks on information received internally from other supporting functions · Carry out relatively complex, extensive, high profile transactions surrounding all PE Fund activity e.g. capital calls, distributions, investment purchases, divestments, carried interest calculations etc. · Working closely with home locations to resolve queries · To create, maintain and update procedure documents and client specifications · Comply with all controls and procedures outlined in the procedures manual and general company policies · Reviewing and signing off on quarterly reports/daily reconciliation prepared by team members · Working closely with the Team Leader and Section Manager on new transitions from home locations · Ensure all scheduled work is completed by agreed deadlines and checklists are duly signed · Identify efficiencies and areas of improvement to reduce risk and put controls to make the process more efficient and robust. · Ensuring that technology available is being fully utilized in the most efficient manner · To ensure full and proper reporting to the manager of any operational issues · Where delays are expected, flag any service delivery issues as early as possible · Ongoing review of daily controls and communications of any new idea(s) or suggested procedural changes · To assist with training and coaching new team members as the group grows · Lead/participate in implementing new technology and efficiency initiatives/projects as needed. Education and Qualifications: · Qualified CA’s with article ship experience, CMA’s with 2 years of any work experience · 4.5+ years relevant PE/FR/FA experience
Eligibility for Internal partners
• 24 months as a Senior Analyst to move as a Technical coordinator/Associate Consultant. • Movement within TC and Associate Consultant is 12 months
