About this role
Company Description Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. Working at Nine, you’ll have access to a unique range of experiences and opportunities, helping drive the success of the country’s most trusted television, radio, digital and publishing brands.
Our content reaches almost every Australian - meaning what we do has real impact. We bring people together, celebrate the big moments, and capture the everyday ones.
Some of our most beloved brands have been part of Australian life for generations, and others - new on the scene - have already found their place firmly in our lives. We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.
Job Description The Digital Archive team at Nine is embarking on a true once-in-a-generation project to digitise and productise our unmatched content archive, representing 195 years of Australian broadcast media, film, and publishing. This is a unique opportunity to shape a lasting social and historical legacy for Australia.
As Senior Delivery Manager you will play a critical execution role, taking ownership of roadmap delivery and coordinating quarterly and annual planning. You will convert strategic visions into concrete execution plans, ensuring key milestones are met while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture. Thriving in the details, you will comfortably span the full delivery spectrum- from defining precise Jira tickets that move the dial on our digitisation goals to delivering polished executive presentations of our roadmap and progress.
This is a 12-month contract.
What you’ll do:
• Lead End-to-End Delivery: Guide cross-functional teams, including multiple vendors, to successfully ship the Digital Archive portfolio of projects and product features.
• Facilitate Agile at Scale: Run core Agile ceremonies (including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, big room planning, and Scrum of Scrums) across multiple squads.
• Clear the Path: Proactively identify, manage, and resolve complex impediments and blockers to unlock team momentum and accelerate delivery.
• Navigate Dependencies: Effectively manage inter-team and cross-departmental dependencies and timelines to ensure all projects remain on track.
• Uphold Governance: Develop robust project plans and ensure the right levels of delivery governance- particularly around quality assurance and testing—are maintained throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive Portfolio Transparency: Keep stakeholders aligned by monitoring and reporting on product feature progress, and end to end project status, creating absolute clarity on where things stand.
• Coach for Continuous Improvement: Champion delivery best practices, mentoring squads to uplift their capability and create an environment focused on efficiency and predictability.
What you’ll bring:
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Iteration Manager or Delivery Manager overseeing a complex portfolio or program.
• Demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and their practical, real-world application.
• A strong, foundational understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Exceptional stakeholder and vendor management, and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and align diverse groups.
• High proficiency with Agile project management and collaboration tools, such as Jira, DevOps, Miro and Slides
• Demonstrated experience in driving change, uplifting team capabilities, and maturing Agile delivery practices.
• Certifications: Relevant Agile certifications that back up your practical experience.
Desirable:
• Experience working within the media industry and exposure to large-scale data platforms.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL pipelines, machine learning, or AI development processes.
• Exposure to project management frameworks delivering digital and data-enabled solutions across enterprise environments.
