Job Summary: Conducts high level stakeholder engagement and advanced analyses of cost, performance, and contractual compliance for generation assets, ensuring data integrity, enhancing contract monitoring processes, and delivering executive ready insights that drive efficiency, compliance, and informed decision making.
Job Description:
• Leads advanced data validation and analytical processes by overseeing operational, metering, performance, and cost data quality; establishing methodologies and controls that ensure accuracy for audits, regulatory needs, and executive-level reporting.
• Conducts complex cost, performance, forecast analyses, developing models, tools, and dashboards that identify key risks, opportunities, and strategic trends for decision‑makers.
• Serves as the primary liaison with developers, IPPs, technical teams, Project Managers, Energy Management, and regulatory entities to coordinate critical information, resolve complex issues, and support compliance with contractual and operational requirements.
• Leads PPOA invoice reconciliation and contract‑related validation processes, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and supporting settlements, economic modeling, and portfolio optimization.
• Provides guidance and subject matter expertise by recommending process improvements, supporting data governance and automation initiatives, facilitating cross‑department meetings, and mentoring peers on complex analytical tasks.
• Tracks the progress of projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery and maintain high standards of quality, while supporting overall team efficiency and productivity.
• Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.
• Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.
• Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.
Additional Job Description: Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree in data Analytics, Engineering Management or Business Administration is preferred.
Experience
• 5 years of advanced analytical experience involving financial/operational modeling, strategic reporting, and contract administration preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
Proven experience leading analytical projects, automation initiatives, large dataset management, and cross-functional coordination.
• Additional education may substitute for the required experience when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role: Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Engineering Management or Business Administration may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 3 years of experience….
Competencies (Skills)
• Advanced Excel skills (macros, VBA, Power Query, complex models).
• Advanced Power BI capabilities (data models, DAX, dashboard automation).
• Experience with databases such as SQL or Access.
• Strategic thinking and ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.
• Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to improve processes, design analytical methodologies, and ensure data governance.
• High level of independence and professional judgment in resolving complex problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
