The Role

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Engineer with a minimum of five years’ experience in the medical devices field to join us as a Solution Architect.

As a Solution Architect, you will shape customer solutions from a technical, functional, and clinical perspective. Working closely with Sales, Professional Services, and Delivery teams, you will design solution architectures that address customer needs while remaining aligned with Ascom’s global product portfolio.

The role supports customer opportunities across Italy (with a preference for Rome‑based candidates) and operates within an international Ascom setup, requiring strong collaboration across regions.

What You’ll Do

Analyse customer needs and translate them into clear solution requirements

Design and recommend Ascom solution architectures aligned with customer and clinical needs

Align local customer requirements with global product capabilities

Manage staging and testing environments to support customer projects

Support project delivery in collaboration with Sales, Professional Services, and Delivery teams

Act as a technical solution partner in customer interactions

Provide structured feedback to Product Development to support continuous improvement

What You Bring (Must‑Have)

A minimum of five years’ experience in the medical devices field

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific, engineering, IT, or related discipline

Strong understanding of complex healthcare IT solutions and architectures

Ability to scope and assess solution feasibility during customer engagements

Strong customer‑oriented mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders

Excellent communication skills across technical, clinical, and commercial topics

Strong self‑management and organizational skills

Able to work independently and as part of international, cross‑functional teams

Nice to Have

Experience working closely with Sales and Professional Services teams

Familiarity with clinical workflows and healthcare IT infrastructures

Experience aligning local customer needs with global product strategies

Exposure to regulated healthcare or hospital environments
