Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director, Global Chains - Asia Pacific to lead HBX's strategic relationships with major international hotel groups across the region.
This role will be responsible for driving growth, strengthening executive-level partnerships, leading a high-performing account management team, and maximizing the value of HBX's chain partnerships. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities with a deep understanding of the hotel distribution landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership Management
• Own and develop relationships with key hotel chain partners across Asia Pacific.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, and strategic partnership discussions.
• Deliver sustainable growth in room nights, total revenue, and profitability across the portfolio.
• Identify new opportunities to expand distribution, deepen partnerships, and improve commercial performance.
• Represent HBX at industry events and maintain strong executive-level relationships within the hotel community.
Commercial Leadership
• Develop and execute regional chain strategies aligned with HBX's global objectives.
• Drive performance through data-driven decision-making and commercial insight.
• Anticipate market trends and evolving distribution models, translating them into actionable strategies.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure hotel chain partnerships are fully optimized and strategically positioned.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as the voice of the Chain partner within HBX.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Revenue Management, Marketing, Connectivity, Product, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver partner objectives.
• Influence internal priorities and initiatives that support partner success and business growth.
Skills & Experience
• Extensive experience managing strategic hotel chain partnerships within the travel, hospitality, or distribution industry.
• Proven track record of leading commercial negotiations and delivering measurable business results.
• Strong understanding of the hotel distribution ecosystem, including wholesalers, OTAs, connectivity, revenue management, and chain structures.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams across multiple markets.
• Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into commercial action.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience engaging senior executives both internally and externally.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent business qualification preferred.
