Job Title: Project Management Assistant Student Worker Department: Student Engagement Reports To: Project Manager Scheduled Hours (Weekly): 5-10hrs
SUMMARY: The Project Management Assistant provides administrative, operational, and project coordination support for the Student Engagement DREAM Team. This position assists with a variety of internal projects spanning operations, marketing, finance, analytics, communications, and organizational initiatives while working directly alongside the Project Manager. This role is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in project management, business operations, process improvement, and cross-functional projects. Students will gain exposure to professional tools, organizational systems, and real-world projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with coordinating internal projects and administrative initiatives supporting the Marketing & Analytics team. • Provide administrative support for project planning, scheduling, documentation, meeting preparation, and follow-up. • Help maintain project management software by updating tasks, timelines, documentation, and project statuses. • Assist with organizing files, digital assets, templates, documentation, and operational records. • Support project intake processes, communications, and workflow organization. • Assist with research, data collection, reporting, and analysis to support departmental decision-making. • Help prepare presentations, reports, spreadsheets, meeting materials, and project documentation. • Assist with finance-related administrative tasks including purchase requests, budget tracking, invoices, expense documentation, and procurement processes as assigned. • Support marketing and communications initiatives through administrative coordination, proofreading, scheduling, and content organization. • Assist with maintaining dashboards, tracking key performance metrics, and organizing operational data. • Coordinate logistics for meetings, training sessions, and departmental initiatives. • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, templates, and internal processes. • Lead operational, administrative, and project-based assignments in support of Student Engagement priorities. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Current Grand Canyon University student in good academic standing. • Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics, Project Management, Communications, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Leadership, or a related field. • Strong organizational and communication skills. • Willingness to learn and contribute to a variety of business functions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. • Experience using project management software. • Interest in business operations, analytics, marketing, finance, consulting, or project management. • Previous leadership, internship, student organization, or administrative experience.
Education and/or Experience: Grand Canyon University is commiJed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment: • Enrolled at GCU as a full-me student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University. You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage Anticipated End Date: June 30, 2027
