We’re looking for an experienced Drainage Foreperson to join our team in New Plymouth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll lead water and drainage works, keep the crew moving, and make sure every job is delivered safely, to spec and on time .
You’ll work side by side with your team, coordinate plant, subcontractors and suppliers, and set the tone on site. At Fulton Hogan, Good Work is about high standards, low ego and people who back each other. We take the work seriously, not ourselves.
Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day drainage works and make sure jobs are delivered safely, on programme and to the required standard
• Coordinate crews, plant, subcontractors and suppliers to keep work moving efficiently
• Run pre-starts, hazard identification and tailgate meetings, and make sure risks are understood and controlled
• Complete required site documentation including timesheets, daily job reports, plant usage sheets and quality checklists
• Support crew capability by giving clear direction, sharing knowledge and helping others grow on the job
Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with
• Solid experience in drainage or civil construction, including leading crews on site
• A current full Class 2 licence with WTR endorsements, and ideally a First Aid Certificate
• Strong ability to read plans, interpret specifications and deliver work to the right standard
• Confidence operating plant, with a good understanding of safe use, maintenance and traffic management requirements
• A practical, organised and team-focused approach, with clear communication and a strong focus on safety and wellbeing.
