About this role
We are looking for a Statutory Accounting Specialist to join our Business Services Center (BSC), where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting while collaborating with global teams across the organization. In this role, you'll combine technical accounting expertise with cross-functional partnership, supporting statutory compliance across multiple legal entities while contributing to operational excellence initiatives in a dynamic multinational environment.
Your role:
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, and corporate policies.
• Prepare and review annual statutory financial statements for multiple legal entities under various local accounting standards (e.g., UK GAAP, German GAAP (HGB), French GAAP).
• Review local accounting entries impacting statutory ledgers, including dividends, capital injections, impairments, and intercompany transactions.
• Support statutory reserves, disclosures, and local-to-US GAAP reconciliations during monthly and quarterly close activities.
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and the company's global internal control framework.
• Coordinate year-end statutory audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Respond to audit requests and ensure timely completion of statutory audit deliverables.
• Support ERP enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvement projects.
Your profile:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience within a multinational company or Shared Services environment.
• Strong statutory accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and at least one local accounting standard (such as UK GAAP, HGB, or French GAAP).
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Communication level Italian or French language knowledge
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced international environment.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
