Job summary This role as a Kitchen Assistant at Agincare Homes Holdings in Dursley offers a permanent position with a salary of £12.91 per hour. Main duties of the job As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the chef in creating healthy and balanced meals and snacks, ensuring a good understanding of dietary requirements and allergens. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols. You will work as part of a team but also have the ability to work independently, effectively managing your time. You will also be required to offer support, communication, and engagement to the residents.

A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential. This is a part time contract working 18 hours per week, to include alternate weekends The main shift pattern is from 4:00pm to 6:30pm, however a flexible working pattern will be required within this roleA day in the life of a Kitchen Assistant
Support the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, and ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols. Work as a team player, but have the ability to lone work when needed, effectively managing your time. Offer support, communication and engagement to the residents.About You
You don't have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. We'd like you to have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to show empathy to the needs of others.

Qualifications Essential
