Heat Treat Operator
ABOUT OUR POSITION Heat Treat: This role is responsible for heat treating material while meeting departmental performance standards, customer specifications, and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
STARTING PAY: $22.75+ per hour, depending on experience, with the opportunity to earn several increases within your first two years. SHIFT: Day Shift, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM SCHEDULE: 3-2-2-3 schedule, which means 3 days working, 2 days off, 2 days working, and 3 days off. This schedule provides a 3-day weekend off every other weekend and built-in overtime pay. LOCATION: 3700 W Milwaukee Rd, Milwaukee, WI 53208

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Safely load, unload, move, inspect, rework, and repackage heat-treated material. • Operate forklifts, cranes, lifting devices, furnaces, and related Heat Treat equipment. • Enter furnace recipes, monitor cycles, respond to alarms, and escalate issues when needed. • Complete required production, lab, repackaging, and computer documentation accurately. • Read and follow work order instructions, customer specifications, and quality requirements. • Collect, distribute, and maintain samples as required. • Maintain equipment and process needs, including dip tank fluid levels, thermocouples, leak detection, and burnouts. • Follow all company work rules, safety procedures, and Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Forklift operator training. • Overhead crane operation experience. • Experience using quality measuring tools, such as a micrometer. • Basic oral and written communication skills. • Ability to work well with others. • Ability to follow instructions. • Basic problem-solving skills. • Basic math skills. • Basic reading skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Frequent standing and walking. • Occasional sitting, below-waist-level work, climbing, reaching, fine motor skills, and lifting up to 35 lbs. • Minimal foot use, balancing, pushing, pulling, carrying, forceful motion, and lifting up to 75 lbs. • Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database. • Ability to meet the essential job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as outlined in the job description.
