Job Family Group: Sales Group Job Description: At Castrol, we're looking for a Technical Services Specialist - HD & Automotive to help customers improve equipment reliability, performance, and operational efficiency across South Africa's heavy-duty and industrial sectors.
What You'll Do
• Deliver technical support, troubleshooting, and lubrication expertise to customers and distributors.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and condition monitoring assessments.
• Lead field trials, value improvement projects, and technical service initiatives.
• Support growth across Agriculture, Construction, Transport, OEM, and FWS sectors.
• Train and coach customers, distributors, and internal teams on lubrication best practices.
• Manage technical complaints and provide practical, customer-focused solutions.
About You
You are a customer-focused technical professional who enjoys solving complex equipment and maintenance challenges. You build strong relationships, communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and combine technical expertise with commercial awareness.
Skills & Experience
• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, lubrication, reliability engineering, or condition monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty equipment and industrial lubrication applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience delivering technical training and supporting customers in operational environments.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical and business priorities.
