The Senior Vice President – Technology Recruiting will lead the strategy and execution of Blackstone’s technology talent acquisition efforts across the United States and globally. This individual will partner closely with senior technology leadership, Human Resources, and business stakeholders to attract, assess, and hire exceptional technology professionals across a broad range of disciplines.

This role requires deep knowledge of global technology talent markets, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and the experience to operate effectively in a dynamic, high‑performance environment. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders while ensuring Blackstone continues to attract world‑class talent aligned with the firm’s long‑term technology strategy and growth initiatives.

Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive recruiting strategy to attract and hire exceptional technology talent aligned with Blackstone’s strategic priorities and long‑term technology roadmap.

• Partner closely with senior leaders across Technology, HR, and business teams—including the Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and other senior stakeholders—to anticipate talent needs and develop proactive hiring strategies.

• Manage full lifecycle recruiting for senior and highly specialized technology roles across areas such as software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, product management, and enterprise systems.

• Serve as a strategic advisor to hiring managers and leadership on candidate assessment, market dynamics, compensation considerations, and hiring best practices.

• Build, manage, and mentor a high‑performing team of technology recruiters, sourcers, and recruiting coordinators, fostering a collaborative, high‑accountability recruiting culture.

• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of technology talent markets, competitor hiring activity, and emerging technology trends to inform recruiting strategies and talent planning.

• Partner with Blackstone’s centralized sourcing team on complex, senior, or niche searches and develop innovative sourcing strategies for hard‑to‑fill roles.

• Build and maintain strong pipelines of high‑quality candidates through direct sourcing, professional networks, referrals, industry organizations, and search firm partnerships.

• Establish and maintain relationships with leading external search firms and technology communities to ensure strong connectivity to top talent.

• Drive a high‑touch candidate experience while ensuring disciplined execution of recruiting processes and strong alignment with firm standards.

• Collaborate with HR and Compensation partners to structure and present competitive offer packages and provide insights into market compensation trends.

• Develop and track key recruiting metrics to assess pipeline health, hiring velocity, and quality of hire; identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, tools, and reporting.

• Contribute to broader talent initiatives including employer branding, targeted outreach campaigns, and programs designed to enhance Blackstone’s reputation as an employer of choice within the global technology community.

• Provide regular updates and market intelligence to senior stakeholders regarding hiring progress, candidate pipelines, and competitive talent trends.

Qualifications Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. A successful candidate should have:

• 10+ years of experience in technology recruiting or executive search, preferably within large, complex organizations, leading financial institutions, or premier search firms.

• Demonstrated success recruiting experienced and highly specialized technology professionals across areas such as software engineering, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data platforms, product management, and enterprise technology.

• Experience developing and executing recruiting strategies to support rapidly evolving technology organizations.

• Proven experience building and managing high‑performing recruiting teams and scaling hiring capabilities in fast‑growing or highly dynamic environments.

• Deep knowledge of global technology talent markets and the experience to develop creative sourcing strategies across multiple channels and geographies.

• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience partnering with senior technology and business leaders on strategic hiring initiatives.

• Experience advising stakeholders on competitive market dynamics, organizational design considerations, and compensation practices.

• Proficiency with recruiting technologies and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday, CRM systems, and advanced sourcing techniques).

• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the experience to manage multiple priorities and complex searches simultaneously.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the experience to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and represent Blackstone effectively in the external talent market.

• Experience to operate effectively in a dynamic, high‑performance environment with strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

Expected annual base salary range:

$190,000 - $275,000 Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
