Job summary This is a permanent Kitchen Assistant role at Oak Manor, a 60-bedded Nursing, Dementia & Residential care home in Scarning, Dereham, Norfolk. The home has a 'Good' CQC rating and is rated 9.9 on Carehome.co.uk. The successful candidate will work 33 hours per week, including alternate weekends, and will be paid £12.21 per hour. Main duties of the job As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to the residents of the care home. This may include tasks such as cleaning and maintaining the kitchen area, portioning and plating up food, and ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are met. The role requires a passionate and fast-learning individual who is interested in a career in the hospitality industry.

Qualifications Essential
No formal qualifications are required for this role, but relevant experience in a kitchen or catering environment would be an advantage. The successful candidate should be empathetic, respectful, and have a growth mindset.
