About this role
Role Purpose The Project Pursuit Manager is responsible for driving sustainable growth through identification, pursuit, and conversion of EPC project opportunities for valves and rupture disc solutions across APAC. The role demands strong ownership of the project pursuit lifecycle, early technical influence, EPC account management, and disciplined conversion of opportunities into profitable order intake.
Key Accountabilities Project Pursuit & Growth
• Identify and pursue EPC projects involving valves, rupture discs, and pressure safety solutions across Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, and Energy Transition sectors. • Engage at early project stages (pre-FEED / FEED) to influence technical specifications, datasheets, MTOs, and approved vendor lists. • Build, manage, and continuously qualify a strong project pipeline aligned with regional growth and order intake targets. Customer & EPC Engagement
• Own relationships with key EPC contractors, PMC consultants, licensors, and end users. • Position the company as a preferred partner for valves and rupture disc applications through technical competence, responsiveness, and reliability. • Support strategic key account development and long-term customer engagement plans.
Bid & Commercial Management
• Lead project pursuit activities from RFQ through order award, including bid strategy, pricing alignment, and negotiation. • Coordinate closely with engineering, proposal, estimation, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver technically compliant and commercially competitive offers. • Manage techno-commercial clarifications related to valve types, actuation, materials, pressure classes, rupture disc selection, codes, and standards. • Ensure bids comply with company risk, margin, and contractual guidelines. Order Conversion & Execution Support
• Drive order booking and achievement of assigned targets. • Ensure structured handover of awarded projects to execution and operations teams. • Support resolution of commercial or customer-related issues during project execution when required. Performance Measures (KPIs)
• Project pipeline value and conversion (valves & rupture discs) • Order intake versus annual targets • Bid hit rate and margin realization • Early-stage specification and vendor list success • Strength and depth of EPC customer relationships
Qualification & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical /Instrumentation preferred). • 8–10 years of experience in EPC project sales or business development for valves and/or rupture discs / pressure relief products. • Proven exposure to EPC contractors, licensors, and consultants in India and/or the Middle East. • Strong understanding of Valve/Rupture disc technologies, actuation, materials, and applicable international codes & standards.
