E-learning Development ManagerPurpose of the role
The E-learning Development Associate Manager is responsible for leading a team of content professionals dedicated to creating, maintaining, and optimizing high‑quality learning content for Amadeus products and solutions. This role ensures that all customer‑facing content—e-Learning lessons and courses, digital practices, and other learning materials—is accurate, consistent, scalable, and aligned with CLS governance standards. The position drives operational excellence through content governance, process standardization, team leadership, and data‑driven decision making.
In this role you'll: Content & Governance • Own the e-learning content development lifecycle from requirements gathering to publication and maintenance. • Ensure compliance with CLS governance standards, terminology, style guides, metadata models, templates, and quality processes taking framework rules. • Implement best practices for content reusability, version control, taxonomy, accessibility, and localization readiness. • Integrate customer requirements into e- learning by running needs analyses, evaluating how current offerings meet business needs, and curating facilitated content tailored to customer segments and role‑based skill gaps. • Oversee global e- learning content for all role‑relevant product training and continuous education for Travel Distribution customers, ensuring a smooth learning experience and strong knowledge transfer. Content Coordination & Execution • Set clear goals and drive results through defined tasks, processes and standards. • Work with internal stakeholders to understand priorities, secure buy in, and deliver impactful e-learning content initiatives taking high level solution objectives. • Work closely with CLS leadership to ensure content alignment with market needs, strategic direction, and customer capability development. Ensure consistency across all customer facing content. • Deliver initiatives on time, within scope, and manage project outcomes effectively. Project Management • Oversee planning and resource allocation for e-learning content development across projects. • Coordinate delivery for major releases, migrations, platform upgrades, and enhancements. • Manage priorities, risks, and dependencies with project managers and Learning Design Managers Team focus and leadership • Lead a global team by building on individual and collective strengths and aligning talent, learning processes, and innovation. • Create and deliver engagement plans based on engagement results. • Set and communicate team objectives, review performance, and implement actions to meet goals. Complete mid‑year and annual reviews with regular follow‑ups. • Provide guidance to dotted‑line contributors to deliver projects and meet targets. • Introduce and apply improvements, using lessons learned to refine best practices. • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and customer‑centered team culture.
About the ideal candidate: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Instructional Design or related field or equivalent experience • Background working with customer learning for enterprise solutions (Airlines, Airports, Hospitality, Payments, Travel Management, or equivalent industry experience is a plus). • 3+ years of management and travel industry experience, including direct management of skilled resources. •3+ years’ experience in a training and development role focused on design and development of technology based learning is a plus • Previous experience with learning services preferred • Experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders and global teams. • Customer-Centric, services oriented individual. • Able to think creatively and strategically to successfully mediate and negotiate with individuals and groups internally and externally. • Able to overcome obstacles to cooperation and to foster harmonious relations. • Demonstrated innovative leadership and communication . • Ability to lead and influence groups and individuals. • Excellent interpersonal skills; engages and builds effective relationships across the organization. • Strong verbal, written communication skills. Effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to management and other employees of the organization. • Excellent MS Office skills, understanding of content authoring tools is a plus Comfortable with technology • Open to work in a hybrid set-up.
