Air Liquide began operations in Malaysia in 1927 and is one of the pioneers of the gas industry in Malaysia. Operating in 11 locations in Malaysia, comprising both sales offices and production facilities, Air Liquide supports our customers through providing innovative solutions at every step of their production, including industrial and specialty gases, energy solutions, application technologies and services. This role manages on-site product quality control, analytical equipment calibration, and routine testing to ensure compliance with ISO and food safety standards. The position handles product nonconformities, conducts root-cause investigations for quality issues, and collaborates with production teams to maintain high operational and safety standards.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
• Ensure all incoming and outgoing products strictly meet company specifications, evaluate analytical results, validate testing methods, and authorize the final release of finished products. • Halt product release if process or product deviations occur, lead root-cause investigations, and implement effective corrective actions to resolve customer complaints and quality issues. • Manage, calibrate, and perform internal servicing on quality control devices (e.g., gas analyzers), and plan external preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment accuracy. • Assist the Product Manager in setting up quality standards, procedures, and manpower plans while ensuring daily operations strictly comply with ISO standards, food safety regulations, and statutory requirements. • Perform external product testing for customers upon request, support staff training and development, and proactively evaluate and report unsafe workplace conditions.
Are you a MATCH?
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Science, or a related field. • 1 to 3 years of experience in a relevant industry or laboratory environment. • Hands-on experience with analytical equipment such as gas chromatography, moisture analyzers, and oxygen analyzers is added advantage. • Proficient in using computers and navigating Google Workspace tools for quality documentation and data management. • Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of working effectively within collaborative teams. • Strong attention to detail and precision when conducting testing and maintaining records.
