• Shift/Schedule: Part Time days 24 hours per week. Holiday/disaster coverage required
• Completes nutrition-focused physical assessments, takes measurements, reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, and evaluates anthropometric status. • Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, nutrition problems, criteria consistent with malnutrition, knowledge deficits, and high-risk health behaviors. • Offers nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals to other services. • May place feeding tubes or perform indirect calorimetry studies. • Provides counseling and education using evidence-based techniques that reflect appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with disease processes requiring nutritional management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required] • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required] • Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy [Required] • General knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheet software [Required] • Ability to search the web for nutrition research or practice updates and apply knowledge to updating reference materials, preparing for presentations, education, etc. [Required]

Pay Range:
$23.71 - $44.09 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
