Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for plants and people? Ambius, a proud part of the Rentokil Initial family, is looking for a Local Service Team Leader to lead our Auckland plant care team.
This is the perfect role for an emerging leader who is ready to move beyond the tools and into a role focused on coaching, quality, and operational excellence. You’ll be right in the thick of it, ensuring Auckland’s workspaces stay green, vibrant, and healthy.
The Role: Leading from the Front
This isn't a "sit behind a desk all day" kind of job. You’ll be the backbone of our Auckland service operations, supporting a dedicated team of Interior Plantscape Technicians. Your mission is to ensure every plant looks its best and every customer is delighted.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading a team of ~10 field technicians, providing day-to-day guidance and supportGetting out into the field to mentor your team, boosting their plant-care expertise, confidence and service skillsMonitoring service quality and stepping in to resolve issues when neededWorking closely with customers to ensure consistent, reliable service deliveryBuilding strong relationships with our clients to ensure their indoor environments are thriving.Supporting scheduling, resource planning, and operational coordinationEnsuring health & safety standards are followed across all sitesAssisting with reporting and contributing to ongoing service improvements
What We’re Looking For
Around 2-4 years’ experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor role - experience in horticulture, landscaping, or field services is a huge plusSomeone who enjoys being hands-on and close to the team, rather than purely strategicStrong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindsetConfidence in handling day-to-day people matters and customer interactionsGood organisation and time management skills in a fast-paced environmentA genuine interest in developing people and building team cultureFull Class 1 NZ driver’s licence with a clean record
