Job Purpose: To collect, analyze, interpret, and report security-related data to enhance the operational efficiency, risk mitigation capabilities, and decision-making processes within the organization. The role involves performing vulnerability assessments, developing insights from data trends, and contributing to the continuous improvement of security systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analyst - Security
Data Management:
Collect data from primary and secondary sources, maintaining and managing securityrelated databases to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Implement data collection systems and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
Ensure proper documentation of data collection and analysis processes for easy replication by stakeholders.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Develop and execute data analysis plans, identifying patterns, correlations, and trends from securityrelated data.
Create reports and dashboards using data visualization tools like Tableau or Qlik to communicate actionable insights.
Interpret data findings in the context of organizational security, recommending datadriven improvements to senior management.
Threat and Vulnerability Assessments:
Conduct regular vulnerability testing and threat analysis, ensuring early detection and resolution of potential risks.
Analyze security breaches to identify root causes and recommend necessary countermeasures.
Contribute to updating and refining the organization’s incident response and disaster recovery plans based on analysis findings.
System Upgradation:
Identify areas of improvement in security systems through data analysis and coordinate system upgrades.
Collaborate with IT teams to implement enhanced security software, minimizing risks and improving operational efficiency.
Process Excellence:
Evaluate and refine data collection, storage, and usage processes, improving overall process maturity.
Standardize datadriven decisionmaking frameworks to support governance and operational excellence.

Security Data Analytics & Reporting • Collect, validate, and analyze security data from various sources, including surveillance systems, access control systems, incident reports, and operational databases. • Develop dashboards, MIS reports, and analytical reports to provide actionable insights to management. • Monitor key security performance indicators (KPIs) and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies. • Generate periodic security intelligence reports to support business and security leadership. Risk Assessment & Vulnerability Analysis • Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses across sites, assets, and operations. • Identify potential threats, security gaps, and operational risks through data-driven analysis. • Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions. • Track closure of vulnerabilities and monitor effectiveness of mitigation measures. Security Operations Support • Analyze incident data to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures. • Support investigations through data analysis and evidence-based reporting. • Monitor security system performance and recommend operational improvements. • Collaborate with field security teams to improve response effectiveness and resource deployment. Dashboard & Automation Development • Design and maintain interactive dashboards using BI and analytics tools. • Automate recurring reports and data collection processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance across security databases. • Develop predictive and trend-based models for proactive risk management. Continuous Improvement & Compliance • Identify opportunities for process optimization through data-driven recommendations. • Support audits, compliance reviews, and security assessments. • Prepare presentations and analytical reports for senior leadership. • Stay updated on emerging security risks, technologies, and industry best practices.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
Certification:
Proficiency in database languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
Knowledge of data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik).
Work Experience (Range of years):
1 year in data management, analytics, or operations, preferably in security or technology-related roles or 0.6-1 year Internship with Adani group in the related field.
Worked on interpreting data trends, perform root cause analyses, and create actionable reports.
