Main duties of the job Are you compassionate, dedicated, and looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex medical needs? HCRG Care Group is seeking a Bank Community Carer to assist in providing high-quality care to children with complex medical needs within the community and in their own homes. Youll be supporting children and their families, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve in a comfortable, familiar environment. In this role, you will be expected to maintain a flexible approach to your duties, as the responsibilities may adapt based on the evolving needs of the children. If you are passionate about delivering compassionate, child-centred care, wed love to hear from you. The schedule includes 24/7 service with night shifts across the year, including weekends. The applicant must be a car driver.

You will be based at one of our Surrey-wide office hubs, working out in the community, with the flexibility of hybrid working to support your professional and personal needs.
Main Responsibilities Provide safe, effective care to children in their homes and the community, as delegated by the Named Nurse. Recognise safeguarding concerns and follow appropriate procedures. Maintain competencies in specific clinical skills and be familiar with emergency procedures, including escalation and resuscitation when needed. Support childrens development in partnership with families and the team across various settings. Help maintain a safe, stimulating environment and record the childs condition, taking appropriate action. Organize daily activities and attend training and supervision sessions. Complete the HCRG Care Certificate within 3 months (if required) and stay updated with relevant training. Follow infection control and health & safety policies, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Communicate effectively, especially in situations with communication barriers, and liaise with the childs care team. Participate in team meetings, maintain accurate records, and support colleagues by sharing information and addressing concerns.Schedule:

Willingness to work towards experienced to teach part of Competency Framework Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to relate to children.Desirable

Desirable qualifications include NVQ 3 in health or social care or recognised nursery nurse qualification, GCSE in Maths and English, British Sign Language level 1, Makaton, experience of relevant clinical procedures and technology dependency, and a minimum of 1-year experience working with children with complex health needs or in settings like nursery or respite services. A car driver license is also required.
