You will be based at one of our Surrey-wide office hubs, working out in the community, with the flexibility of hybrid working to support your professional and personal needs.
Main Responsibilities Provide safe, effective care to children in their homes and the community, as delegated by the Named Nurse. Recognise safeguarding concerns and follow appropriate procedures. Maintain competencies in specific clinical skills and be familiar with emergency procedures, including escalation and resuscitation when needed. Support childrens development in partnership with families and the team across various settings. Help maintain a safe, stimulating environment and record the childs condition, taking appropriate action. Organize daily activities and attend training and supervision sessions. Complete the HCRG Care Certificate within 3 months (if required) and stay updated with relevant training. Follow infection control and health & safety policies, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Communicate effectively, especially in situations with communication barriers, and liaise with the childs care team. Participate in team meetings, maintain accurate records, and support colleagues by sharing information and addressing concerns.Schedule:

Essential qualifications include an understanding of the impact of care on children with complex medical needs, strong communication skills, and a commitment to professional development. Desirable qualifications involve holding an NVQ 3 in health or social care or a nursery nurse qualification, GCSEs in Math and English, and experience with British Sign Language or Makaton. Previous experience working with children with complex health needs and familiarity with relevant clinical procedures or technology is advantageous. Willingness to participate in staff training and achieve competencies, as well as the ability to drive, is also required.
