About this role
We’re supporting delivery on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects in the Nuclear Sector, playing a key role in the commissioning of critical electrical systems within a nuclear environment.
This is an opportunity to work on a once-in-a-generation project, contributing to the safe energisation and handover of complex HV/EHV systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Commissioning HV/EHV/LV electrical systems across the HPC site]Conducting protection relay testing (e.g. SEL, Siemens, ABB, GE)Verifying control logic, interlocks, and system functionalitySupporting HV energisation planning and executionInterpreting SLDs, wiring diagrams, and schematicsWorking in line with nuclear safety standards and proceduresEnsuring compliance with PTW, LOTO, and Electrical Safety Rules Required Skills:
Proven experience commissioning within highly regulated environments(nuclear, power generation, transmission, oil & gas)Strong knowledge of:
HV/EHV systems & electrical distributionProtection schemes and relay testingUPS / DC systems & control systemsAbility to interpret complex electrical drawingsExperience working under strict safety and regulatory frameworksRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Desirable Skills:
