About this role
As Global Category Buyer for Chemicals material within cluster of Rubber and Chemical, you take over the global category responsibility for diverse chemical materials, which contains broad range of chemicals goods, e.g. synthetic rubber, chemicals or colorants.
Your tasks will focus on the following activities:
Set and execute global purchasing strategy for the Categories to ensure competitiveness, lean and efficient processes, availability as demanded and meet the necessary quality standardsDrive best source location strategy, manage global supplier portfolioMeet cost requirements, implement and conduct cost saving activitiesNegotiate contractsMonitor market pricing and availability movements for key production materialsIdentify and implement new supply sources, Steer selection of new (Product Material) suppliers in collaboration with R&DFollow GDDL (German Due Diligence Law) and apply all internal and external requirementsProvide trend of sustainable material/supplier development, support realization of sustainability footprint of respective category Degree in economics, engineering, operations or related field (university / university of applied science)Professional experience in raw material purchasing or comparable functionExperienced in working in an international acting company with a global purchasing networkKnowledge of chemical goods beneficialLegal and contract knowledge with focus on raw material supply contractsProject management experience beneficialFluent English is required.Good negotiation and communication skills and analytical thinkingAbility to work independently as well as high level of self-motivation and teamworkHigh level of social & intercultural competenceWillingness to travel (circa 15-20%)Applications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
